Finding Hope After 20 Years of Street Life

Ryan and his volunteer team, met in Piccadilly Gardens. After a short time of reading Hebrews 11, and in prayer they handed the day over to the Holy Spirit.

The team met an elderly man, ‘A’, he had been on the streets for 20yrs. Ryan spoke about his faith and ‘A’ said that he believed that there was something but not sure what it was. As Ryan began to share, ‘A’ was open to the Gospel and Ryan shared from Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 3:23, John 3:16, Romans 6:4 and Ephesians 2:8.

‘A’ wanted to know if it was possible for him to have a relationship with God. Ryan explained the problem of sin and led ‘A’ in a prayer of repentance, praying that ‘A’ be filled with the Holy Spirit and for his protection.

‘A’ was left with details of Operation Joy and some Christian literature, and directed to his nearest church. Ryan is looking forward to hearing from ‘A’ and supporting him on this new journey he has started.
