"Do you believe in God?"

Paul, our Operation Joy project leader, visits Manchester city centre specifically to meet people experiencing homelessness. Here he tells of meeting a new person.

I seem to be meeting quite a high number of individuals for the first time recently. One of these is 'T', who told me about his background for a few minutes before showing me a picture he had done of various Manchester landmarks in a mosaic. I gave him one of the small food bags and he responded by asking if I believe in God. 'T' went on to tell me that he prays and has a private faith. This took the conversation in a different direction and will give me something to build on the next time I see 'T'.
