Airport Chaplaincy Opportunity

Some time ago our director, Terry suggested Nick, our On The Wing Chaplain, contacted the Chaplaincy team at Manchester Airport because he had noticed that they were advertising for volunteer chaplains. Last week Nick got some news...

Nick explains;

Some time ago our director, Terry suggested I contacted the Chaplaincy team at Manchester Airport because he had noticed that they were advertising for volunteer chaplains. I did this last August (2021) and I was invited over to the Airport for an initial meeting with the co-ordinating Chaplain. I was informed at that time that interviews would be held in the New Year.

Last week I was invited back for an interview before the team and today (4^th February) I was offered the position of volunteer chaplain, should I choose to accept it. I replied in the affirmative and will be joining the Airport Chaplaincy Team for one day a week in the early Spring.

I am told that there is a great need for chaplaincy ministry at the airport, not only among the travelling public but also among the many airport staff and other workers in the shops, cafes and restaurants. I am so thankful to the Lord for yet another wonderful opportunity to minister to people in need and I am very much looking forward to embarking on this new endeavour.
