Next Stage Housing provide a helping hand...

Recently Cath was approached for help by a lady that she had helped previously with her housing issues.

The lady had received a huge bill from her energy supplier which was in connection with a previous property she had lived in.

Since this lady had been paying her bill as far as she was aware, this bill came as a huge shock at a time when bills are going up anyway.

Cath advised the lady to challenge the bill but, when the company were unwilling to reconsider the matter, she advised the lady to go to the ombudsman for their help.

We are happy to say that the ombudsman has upheld her complaint and, although she will have to pay some extra, it is nothing like the original bill.

Sometimes we are just there to be a helping hand and a listening ear. We don’t have the power to make the ultimate decisions but we can help guide people through the process.
