Oldham Borough COVID Community Champion

Operation Joy and Restart have received funding from Action Together for their work in Oldham over the past year.

Last Friday, Ryan from Operation Joy, attended the Oldham COVID Community Champions celebration, where he received a certificate recognising the work Operation Joy had done alongside the Drop-In and street work to help educate their volunteers and those experiencing homelessness regarding Covid-19 and the local authority strategy. It had been a requirement of one of the grants received that this information was passed on where possible. Oldham Council were particularly impressed that Operation Joy had been able to reach the homeless community with these messages.

We are very grateful to Action Together for their ongoing financial support, without which Operation Joy and Restart would struggle to reach the vulnerable communities that they reach out to.
