ACTS 435 funding accessed so deaf client can watch TV with sub-titles.

Ryan from Operation Joy was approached by a client we had referred for housing to Homes for Hope with an unusual request for help.

Ryan has worked with P for some time since he came to us through the Oldham Drop-In, recently he asked Ryan if there was any way he could help him get a television.

P is deaf so he finds it hard to watch TV without the subtitles.

Manchester City Mission has great relationships with other organisations and was able to get funding for a TV through Acts 435. P was over the moon when he received the news. Here’s what he said “Thank you so much Ryan, this has made my day, this will complete my new home, I will be able to have subtitles on, and not have to worry about the volume being too high, and I won’t be disturbing the other housemates

At Manchester City Mission we know that small things can make a big difference in people's lives.

We are very grateful for the support of ACTS 435 and their supporters who have made this possible.

Ryan is continuing to support P on his new journey.
