It was only the second week of the Ashton Drop-In and again God did something great!

This week an old friend of Ryan's had come into the Drop-In.

This man had been going through a family breakdown, Ryan had told him about Jesus before but this time he was coming to ask Ryan more

Ryan says, “I was surprised to see him, as I hadn’t seen him for a number of years. He was genuinely seeking God, and saying that he had been making a mess of his life and not getting it right.”

Ryan invited him in with open arms, he started to tell Ryan his story and how he had become homeless. Ryan agreed to help him find housing, and also to help him with food.

Then the conversation turned to Jesus, he said, “You told me about God before and I tried to do things on my own understanding and now I have completely fallen away, I have really made a mess of my life."

Ryan could see he had a positive attitude towards God, and began to take him to various scriptures starting with John 3:16 to show him the love of God, and then Romans 6:23 to show him there is a consequence to our sinful ways. Ryan felt that he was ready to give his heart to the Lord and led him in a prayer of salvation, and prayed for him to be filled with the Holy Spirit. He said that he felt different like things were going to change in his life.

Ryan has invited him to church and will continue to support him through the Drop-In.
