This bank holiday was business as usual but God had another plan.
Ryan from our Operation Joy project, is also resident Evangelist at our main building in Salford, on Mondays and Thursdays, when the Nourish Family Food Fayre Club is open. Last Monday the Food Club was open, even though it was a bank holiday, Ryan explains how God intervened in a ladies life.
Ryan often prays for people that use our Nourish Food Club project and has seen God do mighty things. On Easter Monday there had alareday been a sense that God was touching lives when Ryan spoke with a lady D.
D had used the Food Club and was on her way out when Ryan explained that he was there for her if she ever needed anything praying for. D broke down and said that she needed everything praying for.
Ryan began telling D that she could have a relationship with Jesus and that the Bible says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9) He went on to explain what it means to repent, that there are consequences for the choices that we make, and that God has a plan and a purpose for her life. (Jeremiah 29:11)
D asked how could she know this God who has a plan for her life, sensing the genuineness of the question, Ryan then led D through a prayer of salvation. Once they had finished praying, Ryan then prayed for her to be filled with the Holy Spirit. D said she felt as if electricity had run through her body. Ryan went on to explain how to pray and also gave her a Bible.
D has been told about our life group at the Windsor Centre on a Friday (a new day for those who remember it on a Wednesday) and has also been directed to a couple of local churches. In the meantime, if she has any questions, we are here for her
