Can you guess the character at the heart of this half-term's assembly?

As Mary was setting up her assembly on Thursday, a Year 6 girl came and looked at the resources at the front, which consisted of a Superman logo, a sword, a clay jar, a rug, a trumpet, some green pieces of laminated card and some straws!!! She studied them for a while and said, "Mary, your assemblies are always a mystery!!!"

This is often the case as Mary and Debs set up their assemblies around the Manchester schools. Children and staff alike try to guess the story that is going to be told!!

Mary asked the young lady if she enjoyed the assemblies, even though they were a mystery to try and work out. "Oh yes!!" she said.

Following the assembly the Head of School said, "I am always as enthralled as the children when it is a Groundbreakers assembly!" and the young lady in question came up and said how much she had enjoyed it.

What a privilege it is for Groundbreakers to tell these Bible stories in fun and creative ways that engage staff and children alike.
