What a privilege to help at the Carol Service at HMP Forest Bank
Last Tuesday evening (13th December) I had the privilege of helping out with the Carol Service at HMP Forest Bank in Salford. It was well attended by various local church leaders and representatives and by prison staff, including the head governor (or Director as he is now called.) Many inmates were also in attendance.A group of young people from the Message came in to help as well. I was also greatly blessed to witness that several prisoners were involved in bringing musical items. I had been practising alongside them for several weeks in the run-up to the evening and on the night they certainly came through! They were singing and playing guitar and keyboard alongside us and threw themselves whole-heartedly into their parts!
The evening was a great success and I am sure that it will have left a lasting impression upon the inmates both in the congregation and those who participated. Everyone came under the sound of the gospel message.
Please pray for lasting fruit as we seek to follow up and continue to minister to everyone.
