Diligent prayerful ministry over many years lead to new opportunities...

Paul Winter, one of our Operation Joy team, has kept a notebook to remind himself of everyone he meets on the streets. He has done this since working for London City Mission. It's that level of detail that means Paul can make connections going back years.

As I sat in Piccadilly Gardens to update my notebook one day I became aware of the accent of a lady sat nearby. I told her it was an interesting accent and asked if she was an Irish Traveller. It turned out that she was and I then asked if she had any connections to the London area where I had visited Travellers for many years.

K told me about some, and she happened to know of a very respected lady that I helped do a passport application for; K was amazed by this connection and I was able to say how my relationship with the lady in London had led to opportunities to pray with members of her family. K said she would also appreciate prayer.

With that, her daughter and granddaughter turned up and they went off to enjoy their day.

We may now be able to connect on social media.
