Little did he know it was to be a divine appointment at Infinity Cafe!

Ryan who serves in our Operation Joy Ashton Drop-in on Wood Street was excited to tell us about how God moved by his mighty spirit this week.

Ryan tells the story.

I was leading a lady to the Lord this week and after I finished praying for her a gentleman who was sat nearby had overheard our conversation and was intrigued by what I was saying.

I then began to tell him how Jesus used to tell stories to people and how these stories were special. I explained that the stories Jesus told were parables and that they were earthly stories with a heavenly meaning. I then opened up my Bible to Luke 15:11-32 and I began to tell him the story about the prodigal son.

You could see that this story was having an effect on the man, using the story I was able to explain the Gospel to him. It was clear that he was thinking deeply about Jesus following him. Looking at other scriptures I explained the consequences of sin (Romans 6:23) and how God loved the world so much that he sent his son to die for our sins (John 3:16). You could tell that this man understood and was ready to receive Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.

I then led him in a prayer of repentance and prayed for him to be filled with the Holy Spirit, as you can imagine this was an amazing time.

We will continue to support this gentleman and find him a suitable church for him.

Please we urge you to keep this man in prayer as he begins this new journey.
