Every need met!

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19

The first thing we need to see in this famous verse is that God is interested in our every need. This challenges us to take him at his word, and trust him that He cares about those daily needs that can sometimes weigh us down. He is on our side and wants to lift those burdens.

Secondly God can afford to meet our needs. He does so according to his glorious riches. Who can fathom the resources of God!

Thirdly, this blessing flows to us from the cross. We are united to Jesus by faith and as one man says, “linked to the source and supply of all true wealth”.

Finally, Paul’s confidence in God’s supply for the church at Philippi is founded in the church’s generosity to him as a missionary. Not only was Paul saying, ‘thank you’ for their recent gift, but he was remembering their long history of financial support for his work.

Here at MCM we rejoice in God’s faithfulness revealed though the generosity of His people! Your ongoing support enables us to take the Gospel to people on the margins of society!
