From fear to elation Cath's clients come with the full range of contrasting emotions.
Cath, our Next Stage Housing Co-ordinator, works with people from many nations, helping them as they take steps to find accomodation in Greater Manchester. As Cath explains, they come with a whole set of varying situations around them...
This week I was talking to a gentleman that we are supporting who is waiting to hear when and if his wife and family will be able to join him in the UK. This waiting can really take a toll in terms of mental health, hoping for the best, fearing the worst all the time aware that you can’t be there to support them.
In contrast, I met up with another gentleman who, although it has taken several years and been expensive in the process, is now rejoicing that his family is reunited and they can be together once more.
The Bible talks about ‘rejoicing with those who rejoice and weeping with those who weep’
Often all we can do in the time of waiting is come alongside and offer support through prayer and just ’being there’ for people, trusting that their time of rejoicing will come.
