Feedback on training

Ryan, from Operation Joy, has been running the course Working with HoPe course for volunteers that are interested in working with people experiencing homelessness. Ryan took a bit of time out to ask a couple of the volunteers what they thought of the course.

Kelly said “Very informative, not just on a practical level but also on a spiritual level, it has opened my eyes to the causes and struggles in homelessness, it has increased my passion and compassion for those in need, and it has also shown me the dynamics and complexities of homelessness, I’m so glad to be part of this course as I now feel equipped and ready to help”

Another volunteer who has struggled with homelessness themselves said “this course is like no other course, I have really been able to identify with all the modules we have been through, and I have enjoyed giving my input”

Ryan said, “It’s been an honour to teach these volunteers, and I can’t wait to get them out on the streets of Greater Manchester to impact the homeless community”
