The homeless community are largely invisible and consequently can disappear very easily…

Ryan has trained a team of volunteers for Operation Joy, they are often out on the streets of Manchester.

Ryan was out last week with two of his volunteers. They had a great day and were able to witness to and pray with many homeless people.

For many weeks now Ryan has been looking out for a man that the team were helping to get accommodation but then all of a sudden just disappeared.

Last week as Ryan was finishing up with his volunteers and leaving the city centre, they bumped into the missing man.

Ryan said, “As I approached him, he said ‘Ryan is that you?’, he was quite tearful saying, ‘I have been waiting and hoping that you would pass by, someone stole my phone so I haven’t had your number.’

Ryan was able to sort him a new sim card for his phone so he had credit to be able to stay in touch, he then prayed with the gentleman.

Ryan, and the team at Manchester City Mission, are excited to start working with this gentleman again, and hopefully we will find him accommodation.
