From Glory to Glory…
Remember Darren who we housed? Well he popped into the Ashton Drop-in this week to say hello. The change that has happened in this man’s life can only be by the Grace of God. Ryan tells the story...
“Darren came to us through the Ashton Drop-in, he had been homeless for a long period of time. When he arrived he had been sleeping rough and had no fixed abode. We managed to house Darren through the Homes of Hope project and since then he has gone from Glory to Glory. This week when we saw him he was telling us how his life was getting better and better. He is now using the Gym, he is volunteering for local charities and is set to start his training for his Forklift truck licence. Darren was saying how his relationship with his daughter and grandchildren has been fully restored and he is the happiest he has been in years"
Ryan asked Darren about what he thought to having a relationship with God and is it an area that he has started to explore? Darren said “It’s funny you should say that. This is something I’m starting to explore have you got a Bible that I can have?" Ryan gave Darren a Bible and showed him where to start reading.
Ryan and the team at Operation Joy will continue to stay in contact with Darren and if there is any way we can support him practically or spiritually we will do so.
Please continue to pray for Darren as he continues to rebuild his life step by step.
