The Operation Joy Oldham Drop-In is getting busier and busier...

Recently the Operation Joy Oldham Drop-In moved to Bethel Church on Waterloo Street. It has been getting busier with people being helped week-in week-out!

Last week a gentleman who was struggling called into the Drop-In.

He has been homeless for twelve months but just recently has been allocated a one bedroomed flat. He said, “The flat is nice but it doesn’t feel like home, I have nothing in it.” Ryan, our Operation Joy worker, asked the man if he could pray for him, asking that God would open a door of favour for the man.

Ryan, and his volunteers, got to work sourcing various items needed for the flat, by the end of the day they had managed to get a washer, fridge-freezer and a cooker!!! Ryan was also able to help with a food voucher, so he could fill his cupboards. The gentleman was very grateful and couldn’t thank the team enough.

Ryan will continue to support this gentleman through Operation Joy Oldham.
