He dropped in and found the answers to life...

A few weeks ago Ryan was just about to finish up the Operation Joy Drop-In in Oldham when a guy came in asking if Ryan could help him...

...M said he was sick of his life and he has been struggling with drugs for over 30years.

As Ryan started to tell M about Jesus he began to cry. Ryan went on to speak about repentance and how there are consequences for the bad choices we make, and that we have to take responsibility for our actions. Ryan then took M to various places in the Bible, starting with (Romans 10:9) "...that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Ryan then shared the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32) at which M began to really break down and cry, Ryan then thought it was right to lead him in a prayer of salvation, M gave his heart to the Lord, Ryan prayed for him to be filled with the Holy Spirit, God was doing an amazing thing.

M has now been off the drugs for three weeks, and through Turning Point has been able to get a place with Be-Strong rehabilitation, Ryan has been checking in with him to ensure he is doing well, and M is looking forward to getting his life back together.

Ryan will continue to support M, and when he is ready, Manchester City Mission, will help him find accommodation, and continue to support him.
