Widening influence
Chaplain thanks God for increased opportunities in the Greater Manchester prisons.
Nick, our Chaplain spoke recently of new opportunities...
"I have had a new opportunity presented to me to work alongside the chaplains at HMP Hindley in Wigan. I am now going in there regularly on Tuesdays and this seems to be a great encouragement to the chaplaincy team. It also gives me a wider scope for ministry. I am interacting with prisoners on a one to one basis but also in a Bible study group. In addition I am attending ACCT reviews (Assessment of Care in Custody). These are regular reviews held with vulnerable prisoners attended by prison staff and a chaplain or other support worker, to assess their progress and on-going care needs."
Much of this work is very similar to the ministry he is involved in at HMP Buckley Hall, Rochdale. Nick says, "I thank God for this opportunity to widen my chaplaincy work and would value the prayers of our supporters."
