Now she wants to give back and help others in the same situation she was in…
Restart work in Greater Manchester with women who are vulnerable and in the most difficult of situations.
A young mum with two children, from a Muslim background, came out her relationship that was coercive and where she had suffered at the hands of her emotional and abusive husband. He was charged with domestic violence.
She was isolated from her the family and disgraced because she had taken action to get out of the situation and involve the police. She was referred to Restart and is now looking at how she can help us to support and help another Muslim young woman, with children, to engage with us. She is able to act as an interpreter and is helping to support women like herself.
She is engaging with Bible studies and the team are giving her one-to-one time to help her. She asked for own Bible, which restart were able to provide, and she has told her social worker, who is a Muslim woman that she was reading the Bible. She is learning to contribute to discussions and is enjoying every bit of being in the group. She is telling many of the people around her that she is in the Bible study group and enjoying it.
Please would you pray for the Restart team, they work right on the margins of society looking to give women hope in Jesus name.
