Luke’s Gospel brings Jesus to life in Diary of a Disciple workshops!

Mary and Debs are currently delivering "Diary of a Disciple " workshops in local primary schools.

The workshops focus on the Diary of a Disciple book by Gemma Willis and Emma Randall. The book is based on Luke's gospel and is written in the style of the hugely popular children's book "Diary of a Wimpy Kid".

The children complete four practical activities during the workshop and have great fun whilst learning a lot about Luke and his very special gospel!

Debs leads a drama activity based on the account of Jesus appearing to his disciples on the road to Emmaus. In one of the sessions, a young girl came to complete this task and said, "Oooh, I LOVE drama". As the children began to explore and read the script, the same child exclaimed, "It's like the words jump off the page and it all seems real, alive.". Another child said, "Yes, it's like in this story- Jesus is alive."

It is heartwarming and a privilege to see young children respond in such a positive and joyful way to Luke's gospel.
