"Just One Question"

Ryan (Operation Joy) asked a client, ‘P’, to consider the answer to one question, the next day ‘P’ had the answer…

‘P’ has been struggling with homelessness for the last five years, but now has somewhere he can call home. Ryan has been working ‘P’ to help him get settled into his new flat.

Ryan has been praying with ‘P’ for various things for his flat and they had seen God answering his prayers. On a number of occasions, Ryan and ‘P’ would talk about what it means to have a relationship with God.

‘P’ was at the Windsor Christian Centre to meet with Manchester City Mission’s Next Stage Housing Coordinator and complete various bits of paperwork. Later that day when dropping him off, having been aware that something was holding ‘P’ back from making a commitment to God, Ryan said, “I just have one question for you to think about, if God is good and you know God is good, what reason have you for not letting him into your life?”

Ryan left him to think about the question until the next time they met up. The next day ‘P’ came to see Ryan and said “I’m ready to receive Jesus, I have no reason to not let him into my life”. Ryan led ‘P’ in a prayer of repentance and ‘P’ gave his life to the Lord.

Ryan is continuing to support ‘P’.
