Off home with lighthouses and sunshine necklaces

Last week, Mary and Debs led another Mental Health Workshop, funded by a Tesco grant to deliver these in Oldham schools.

The children made lighthouses and were excited to see them shining in the darkness as the classroom lights were turned off. They watched the video about a little girl called Daisy who believes that the sun is not shining anymore in her world, and they then went on to think about what light does... it attracts, it warns, it shows how things really are and it shows us the way.

They heard about how Jesus is like a light that is always shining, even when the world is dark.

The children went home happily with their lighthouses and wearing sunshine necklaces to remind them that Jesus is the light that never goes out!

A fun afternoon with a very relevant message in these times.
