A mutually beneficial partnership has grown up over the last six months…
Ryan who serves in our Operation Joy project had a review meeting with Infinity Initiatives café in Ashton-under-Lyne were we have a homeless Drop-in on Tuesdays from 12-4pm.
It’s important that we have these meetings to ensure that all parties are happy with the work and if there are any discrepancies we are able to address them.
Ryan tells the story.
“When we started the project we were very cautious about how we presented the faith side of things as we didn’t want to come across as too heavy and hinder the relationship that was being built with the management team at Infinity Initiatives café. This week we had a review and they are more than happy with us, so much so they love the idea of praying and talking to people about God. They have also said that they feel that it is helping people that use the café and are seeing a positive impact with what we do. The management team want our service to continue with them for the foreseeable future and have said that if there is any way they can help promote what we are doing then we should not hesitate to ask.”
God always supersedes our expectations, at the coffee shop, week in and week out, we are seeing God do great things. People are turning up for practical help and also spiritual help. People are being prayed for and the Gospel is being preached.
We are excited about what God is going to do next.
