One reaps and one sows…

Ryan who serves in our Operation Joy project had great news last week when a man who was on our Alpha course gave his life to Christ.

This week Ryan has connected him to a wonderful married couple (John and Jillian) that volunteer for us and will be taking him to their son’s church (The Salford Evangelical Presbyterian church). Ryan tells the story.

“It is so hard to get people into church and as an Evangelist for God this is where I struggle. I have found that many people I speak one to one with believe in God and identify with some sort of spirituality. God has given me a great way of being able to convey the Good News of Jesus. When it comes to church, people have very varied preconceived ideas. This man did the Alpha course with us, received Christ as his Lord and Saviour and then this week I asked him if he would like to go to church. He said Yes. As you can imagine I was overjoyed”

Ryan connected this man to our volunteers and they exchanged numbers and arranged to pick him up and welcome him into the church family. This is wonderful news for all of us to hear at Manchester City Mission.

Ryan will continue to keep in touch and support this man on his new journey.
