The story continues for one of our Food Club members...

You may remember we told you about a young women that came to use our Food Club and Ryan, who is our resident evangelist, prayed for her. Since then her depression has lifted and then she became a volunteer.

We have even better news, last week she gave her life to Christ and in the next moment she got a job!

D has volunteered for us once before, the following week she came to volunteer again but had turned up early. She started to testify about how she has always believed that there was a God, and how God had saved her son's life when he was a baby. Ryan spoke to her about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Ryan said, “She showed massive interest, and said that every word that I spoke was resonating with her spirit.”

Sharing a couple of Bible verses, (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23) he explained sin and its consequences, before explaining that there is good news, that God loves her so much, that he sent his son to die for her sins (John 3:16). D then asked Ryan what she needed to do to receive Jesus, Ryan led her in a prayer of repentance, and she gave her heart to the Lord.

On that same day, we had an organisation visiting the Food Club that help people with employment, D was offered a job!

She said, “I feel like I’m in a dream, what is happening to me?"

Ryan was able to tell her about the Grace of God, and his unmerited favour.

We are pleased to report that the following Sunday D went to church, and is now excited about her future.
