God is doing something unusual through the work of Operation Joy…
Ryan who serves in our Operation Joy project says that last week was just amazing as people out of the blue were coming to him to hear the Gospel and repent of their sins and give their life to the Lord.
As you may already know Ryan serves in our Oldham Operation Joy Drop-in, Ashton Operation Joy Drop-in and also our Nourish food project where he is the resident evangelist. Last week we saw salvation in all three projects, and in the Ashton Drop-in, two people confessed Jesus as their Lord and Saviour! Whilst Operation Joy is used by God to reach many who choose to give their hearts to Jesus, this was an unusual week.Ryan tells the story.
“It was an incredible moment for me and the team, not to mention the Kingdom of God, as two people that we have been working with week in and week out, surrendered their life to Christ. Both people this week have said that their lives feel like they are changing and have both said they feel like for the first time, in a long time they have a purpose."
Here at Manchester City Mission we are so pleased for these two people that have made a confession of Christ as Lord and Ryan will continue to work to ensure that they are settled in a church and are being properly discipled.
Please continue to pray for Ryan and the team as they serve God amongst this challenging community and see souls snatched back from the Kingdom of darkness, for the Glory of God.
