Soul Children, the perfect balance to SATs in Mental Health Awareness Week!

This week for Year 6 children across the land it has been SATs (Standard Assessment Tests) week. Schools work hard to minimise the stress of these tests but there are many children who find it a very anxious time.

It was good on Tuesday night at our Soul Children Choir, to be able to sing and have fun and forget about SATs for 90 minutes and for those feeling anxious, to be reminded that God is only a prayer away.

One young man told us that his parents had said that he couldn’t do his extra-curricular clubs and activities this week because of the tests but he begged them to allow him to come to Soul Children! How great that this is such an important part of his week and his coming was a direct answer to a specific prayer that SATs wouldn’t get in the way.
