If there's one thing you don't want in the Food Club it's an alarm on the freezer!
And that's just what we found last Tuesday when the Food Club was unlocked to take the daily temperature readings on fridges and freezers. The 'display freezer' in the Food Club was beeping away and having checked the temperatures and transferred the content, a call was made to Bluebird Refrigeration. The next morning the engineer, who was most impressed with how well cared for the units were, diagnosed that our freezer, which is just over a year old and out of warranty, had a faulty compressor. We could tell that the engineer was concerned on our behalf and when he rang the company office, without us asking, he pleaded our case for a discount.
When Barry, our Nourish project leader, contacted Bluebird for the repair quotation they explained about the request for a discount and then offered to do the job at cost price.
We are very grateful to the engineer and for the support of Bluebird Refrigeration getting us back up and running.
