That 'Ahh' moment

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. Rom. 15:13

This is a gem of a prayer that amounts to a promise insomuch as it underlines the link between faith and the experience of joy and peace.

When we exercise true faith we get an ‘Ahh’ moment as joy and peace flood our soul. We feel the release of the burden that we cast onto the Lord, and it feels good!

The primary application of this verse has to be our trusting in the Lord for salvation. Forgiveness by, and reconciliation to, the God of Hope brings a joyous peace that this world cannot offer or replicate.

Is this not also true when we get an assurance in our soul that “…we have the requests that we have asked of him.” (1 John 5:15)?

When we ask you to exercise believing prayer for our work at Manchester City Mission, we ask trusting that you will be filled with all joy and peace!
