The food club

The Food Club started out in order to help child hunger and families in particular, that may have been struggling with poverty.

This was of course heightened by the Covid crisis. However, it was soon very obvious that there was not just children and families who might need a little help, but a whole range of people who were affected by their circumstances.

Therefore, alongside families, we have people who are just coming out of homelessness, others with no recourse to public funds, people who’ve been made redundant, pensioners and larger families etc. It has therefore been very humbling and encouraging to reach out to all, without any stigma attached. A place where everyone is accepted without any questions, with also help at hand through our Narrowgate Hub for any in further need.
