The Right Trousers
A kind gift from a local Academy will make all the difference to rough sleepers.
On Friday the 7th July, Oasis Academy MediaCityUk kindly donated 100 pairs of waterproof over-trousers for MCM’s work with people who are experiencing homelessness.
The trousers, originally intended for PE classes come in a full range of sizes from small to XXL and are ideal for people who find themselves sleeping rough in wet weather.
Ryan Ackrill, one of MCM’s Operation Joy Missionaries, said:
“Winter is approaching and the homeless community will be in need of warm dry clothing and these pants cover both. It’s so good to be able to help people that are experiencing homelessness in a practical way, as well as spiritual. Big thank you to the academy from myself and the team at Operation Joy.”
Few things feel worse than being cold and wet. Each pair of these trousers has the potential to help relieve the misery of rough sleeping for someone this winter.
