Volunteer Heros
Operation Joy's volunteers get a well deserved boost.
Paul and Ryan, who lead the Operation Joy project, where over-joyed this week when they received good news from Action Together, one of our funding organisations.
Operation Joy was founded by Paul Winter and has been running now for 26 years. Over that period of time we have seen God do amazing things through the project as we reach out to people who are experiencing homelessness.
Central to our work is a great team of volunteers who work hard to make this project successful.
A few weeks ago we heard of a fund that would enable us to celebrate our volunteers. The good news is that we have received the funding and are now able to make plans to take our volunteers out for a celebration meal.
This was a great way of being able to say “thank you for all the hard work you have done.”
Manchester City Mission would like to say a big thank you to Action Together for making this possible and also for all the other funding opportunities that are sent our way. We would also like to say thank you to all our supporters, since this project is only possible because of your partnership.
Thank you, from Ryan, Paul and the team.
