We are all needed and have a part to play

We are reminded in 1 Corinthians 12 v 15-26 of the importance of all parts of our body.

We are told that ‘if the foot should say ‘because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body’ it would not for that reason stop being part of the body’.

Having broken some bones in her foot recently, Cath has had first-hand experience of how important each part of the body is and how other parts of your body are impacted when one member is not functioning in the way that it should. This is not just an inconvenience in that various tasks take considerably longer but some things are just not possible at all for instance, driving.

Manchester City Mission does not function in isolation, we are very conscious of the fact that we are reliant on the prayers and support of all those who have a burden for the work that He has called to. You, just as much as the team members, are a part of the body that is working in Greater Manchester seeking to share the good news of the Gospel through Incarnate, Compassionate and Proclamatory outreach.

Thank you for being that part of the body that He has called you to be - may we (in Christ) be ‘knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share’ (Ephesians 4 v 16).
