What is Eid?

Seven:Nine talks about atonement…

Asking questions is a great way of getting to know someone better. Last week, Muslims have been celebrating Eid ul Adha because it is the time that they remember the story of God calling Abraham to sacrifice his son. It is also connected with Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, with its promise of sins forgiven.

How would you explain what that part of Abraham’s story means to you as a Christian? And what is its connection to forgiveness? You don’t need to travel to the Middle East to find someone to have this conversation with - why not pray now for an opportunity this week?
