Who's watching?

The Amplified Bible, Classic edition, translates Jesus' words in Matthew 6 verse 4 like this, "So that your deeds of charity may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly. " Paul, from Operation Joy, found out thi sweek that it's not just God that sees the good deeds we try to do in secret.

Paul says, "I went into one of the supermarkets in Manchester as I often do. I found some cakes on offer and bought six packs. One of the staff approached me and asked if I wanted some biscuits as well, these also being on offer."

She went on to tell Paul that if he is helping people on the streets then there will be times when they can help him with various items including food and toiletries.

Paul went on to say, "I didn't recognise the member of staff, but she must have seen me in the shop regularly and may have seen my actions outside. We never know who may be watching even when we are doing things secretly."
