Congratulations!!

And to God Be The Glory!

I have known Chantal since 2018 when she was a guest at the Narrowgate night shelter. Having been given leave to remain, she was now homeless and in need of permanent accommodation. Fortunately, we were able to find a place for her and she moved in. Chantal gave God the praise for His provision.

Since this time, she has worked hard to learn English, find work and become part of British society.

She has experienced financial struggles, not wanting to claim benefits but preferring to work; lost her mum and faced setbacks but has always had the assurance that God would work things out for her.

A big ambition has been that she would get her British Citizenship- not an easy thing to do. She has studied very hard over the last few months to pass the Life in UK test and her English-Speaking test and this month, with great joy, she attended a ceremony where she was given a certificate to say that she is now a British Citizen.

We pray that she will be truly blessed in her new country and we know that she will be making a valuable contribution by being here as, getting to know her, has been a blessing to us at Manchester City Mission.
