Could Next Stage Housing Help You?

The Home I’ve Always wanted!

Chantal first came to us as a guest in our Narrowgate Night Shelter several years ago. Back then she was very keen to get a home in the area near the shelter where she felt settled and close to shops and transport.

A flat was found for her at the time but not in the area she wanted to be. Nevertheless, she was grateful and has lived there for a number of years, always paying her bills and being a good tenant. Next Stage Housing continued to support Chantal through many difficult times and share in her good times, though she never forgot the area she really desired to live in and would mention it from time to time.

Then a couple of years ago her two daughters joined her in this country and the flat, which was fine for one person, but became very crowded! Chantal was able to apply for housing through the local authority as they were overcrowded but, as is well known, housing is in short supply.

After many months Chantal was placed at number 10 in priority for a flat in the area she had always wanted to live in. We prayed that she would be offered the place and after several weeks she was told the flat was hers! This was 6 months ago and finally last month she was able to get the keys and move in.

Chantal gives all the glory to God who has seen the desire of her heart and blessed her with this place. She is also a testimony of patient endurance, waiting to see the fulfilment of what she had prayed for.

We wish her and her family every blessing in their new home. God is faithful!
