Easter With New Followers of Jesus.

From Eid to Easter...

Eid.

Imagine how you would feel if all of your usual Christmas celebrations, and the people you would usually be with, went ahead without you there.

For some people, this will be their first Eid as new followers of Jesus. Up until this point, every year they would have celebrated the end of Ramadan together with their family; visiting friends and being visited, sharing gifts and plenty of delicious food.

But this year will be different, having received Christ they are no longer Muslim. How might this feel? Who is their family now?

Easter.

As Sarah mentioned to a friend in church that she would be away on Easter Sunday to visit family, the words struck her … family. A Believer from a Muslim Background (BMB) had recently mentioned how ‘the church says that you are part of the family, but at Christmas and Easter everything stops and no-one is around. People go off to spend time with their families and I’m not invited.’

Sarah felt God prompt her to invite two BMBs in her church to the Easter Friday concert she was planning to go to. They came and it was a wonderful opportunity to share life together.
