Have You Heard About The Friendship First Course with 7:9?

Here it is in Action…

An elderly lady had fallen and broken her hip a short time before the final session of our course. Amazingly, she sent a message: it went something like this:

‘I’m sorry I can’t make it to our session today but I wanted you to know the impact the course has had on me.

While I was lying in my hospital bed, the chaplain came to visit. I welcomed him and shared with him about my faith in Jesus. I asked him if he would say the Lord’s prayer with me - and he did.

Before doing the Friendship First course, I wouldn’t have thought of doing this. You see, the chaplain was Muslim. I have now realised that Muslims need to hear about Jesus just as much as anyone else and believe that God has given me an opportunity to do His work even while I am in hospital.’

Most Muslims believe that the bible is for Christians and that Jesus is not for them. Maybe they’ve never met a Christian who showed them that this is not true.

When Jesus healed the blind man (Luke 9) he said “... this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him”.

Praise God for this lady’s faith and ask for her healing.

Pray for the chaplain to be touched by the witness of the Holy Spirit at work through her, and the words that she shared. ‘Our Father … Yours is the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen’.

Ask God to bring spiritual sight to the blind so that, like the healed man, they will say to Jesus, ‘Lord, I believe.’
