The Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity...

Visit our Food Club and see the impact of their donation.

Back in 2020 The Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity donated some funds to Manchester City Mission. At that time our Narrowgate Night Shelter had been closed down due to COVID, and other ways of serving our community were being sought.

This is when the Nourish Food Club was launched with the help of our supporters.

Frankie from the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity came to visit us recently to get an insight into what we are doing at the Food Club and the impact it is having in the every day lives of the people we serve.

Frankie had this to say, “It was great to visit Manchester City Mission and find out more about the various important services they offer. Everyone was so incredibly welcoming and I was blown away by the brilliant team they have, not just the staff but the volunteers who give up days, months and in some cases years to help out people who are in need.

I am glad Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity were able to help organisations like this one. They are the lifeblood of the Greater Manchester support networks and so it was great to head down there and capture the vital support they offer to the people of our city-region.”
