What does it mean to have a relationship with God?

A volunteer comes to saving faith!

A volunteer with the Nourish food club had been increasingly drawn to the group prayers over recent months, telling me that he could feel his life changing and “everything was beginning to make sense”.

Over the next few weeks, the volunteer ‘k’ and myself had lengthy chats during which he shared his life story recognising some bad life choices. Through this I was able to proclaim the good news to him, “Jesus Christ died for our sins”.

Eventually ‘K’ asked “what does it mean to have a relationship with God?” It was at this point I was able to lead ‘K’ in a prayer of repentance. ‘K’ became tearful during our prayers and said he “…felt like something had lifted off him”.

I gave ‘K’ a copy of the Bible explaining that this is the word of God and that faith comes by hearing the word of God. I will continue to support ‘K’ on his ‘new life’ journey.

Please continue to support us and pray for us here at Manchester City Mission.
