The Brookhouse Food Club Pastoral Team!

Whilst MCM has 3 busy Food Clubs, it also helped to set up and support others in the Greater Manchester area. Food items etc.. are shared and passed between them and there is a real sense of unity. Recently Barry learned of some amazing testimonies from the Food Club at Brookhouse community centre.

Hannah who heads the pastoral team told us, “I had an inspirational conversation with one of the regular mums, ‘B’ who comes to our food club. She has recently been watching our church service online and learning more about God. ‘B’ had been learning how to pray and who to pray to…

Then ‘B’ shared that she was reading the bible and realised how much God has given her and how grateful she felt and went on to say;” “It was like Adam and Eve and God gave them everything, but Eve then reached for the apple cos she still wanted more.”

“‘B’ was saying she no longer feels like she has to reach for all the things that are not good for her anymore because of what God has given her and she is so thankful.”

“I told her, that’s amazing, God has given you revelation of the word, ‘B’ was delighted to hear this and said,” “yeah it feels different when reading the bible.”

“A man started coming to the food club recently, we could see he was struggling. We looked out for him and supported him and now he volunteers with us. Micheal (pastoral team) invited him to Church and now he comes every week. His life has turned around.”

“Carol had been unwell with her terminal diagnosis and Jenny (pastoral team) has been meeting with her regularly. Carol has said she has no regrets about her life as now she knows Jesus! She is planning to be baptised on at the end of the month.”

Amen. With God ALL things are possible!
