Are Bibles Heavy?

This Week’s Story From Operation Joy..

In the course of the last few weeks there has been an ongoing story involving A and K who wanted a bible. Paul arranged to meet them in July but they did not show up; it turned out that A had broken her ankle. Nevertheless Paul decided to carry a couple of bibles around with him in case they happened to meet up. On Sunday this week Paul was in Manchester in the afternoon and arriving at Piccadilly station he soon came across A and K on the concourse! Paul passed on a bible to them at that point.

Soon after Paul met W and T in Piccadilly; making it known he had a spare bible with him T expressed an interest and took the bible that was available. By Tuesday Paul was getting messages asking to meet up once more with A and K and they succeeded on the following day. Paul knew that A had been asking about being baptised so he gave a brief outline of what may be expected.

It was 33 days from the first attempt to meet A and K to them receiving a bible. This shows how patient ministry has to be sometimes.

Please pray with us, that many more of the street population will happily receive a bible!
