Can Peace Be Found In Prison?

Jesus Commands “Peace, be still”

A new inmate attended my morning Bible group the other day. He is a very troubled man with mental health issues and a long history of being abused. He told me he could not control the thoughts raging in his mind.

I shared with him the account of Jesus calming the sea in Mark chapter 4, simply by commanding the elements saying “Peace, be still!” I then prayed that the Lord would calm the tempest in his heart and mind, and that he would know the peace of God which surpasses understanding.

I then asked him if he wanted to receive Christ as his Saviour and Lord, and he said he did, so I led him to the Lord. When he left the meeting he said he was feeling much better.

I also made sure he was on the list to attend the chapel services. Please remember "P" in your prayers.
