Our Spring/Summer 2024 Edition.

I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to read our latest edition of Clear Call; ‘We’re going where the sun shines brightly’ - well at least we hope it will be shining as you read it.

Manchester City Mission will be doing what it does best this summer representing the LORD who is your shade in the hot places! The ethos of Manchester City Mission has not changed in almost 200 years, meeting people at their point of need, incarnate in the world, serving with compassion and proclaiming the truth of the Gospel.

In these increasingly difficult times, as we hear of bankrupt Local Authorities, cuts to public services, unprecedented homelessness, housing crises, mental health issues on the rise and an NHS that feels broken, Manchester City Mission stands firm in the word and asks, “What would Jesus do?”

Jesus would go and feed the hungry; give a drink to those who thirst and invite the stranger in; He would clothe those in need and visit those in prison (Matthew 25:35,36). Jesus described himself as a servant (Mark 10:45) and that is what we do at Manchester City Mission, we faithfully serve the residents of our city, even when it gets really hot!!

I sincerely hope you enjoy reading about the help we have been able to provide because of your support, and we look forward with hope as we continue to serve the City of Manchester.
