Happy Birthday Operation Joy!!

28 Today!!

June 4th - today it is 28 years since Paul attended the funeral of Joyce alone at Manor Park Crematorium in East London. Out of this came Operation Joy, a project that was set up to remember birthdays of people amongst the Street Population, obtain id and register next-of-kin. Paul has been based in Manchester for over 11 years now and the theme continues. Just yesterday he met T as he had a birth certificate for her; T's partner K also needs one. He was also carrying a birthday card for D, but did not see her. He'll carry it until she is found. Many opportunities to share the gospel have resulted from this ministry; many still live with the kind of isolation Joy lived in. Psalm 126 v 5 'Weeping may remain for a night, but joy comes in the morning'
