It’s Amazing Who You Meet Walking Into Town…

Paul at Operation Joy does a lot of walking!

While most of Paul's outreach is in Manchester, there are often opportunities in Bolton which is where Paul lives. Sometimes he will walk to the station as some members of the Street Population can be found nearby. This week that walk was very productive. Having set off he soon met T, often seen in town. A then called across the road and Paul walked with her into the town centre having a relationship building conversation. They passed one the drop-ins in the town and E saw them passing; E came out of the building and told Paul of a physical problem she had. Paul made a quick visit to a local shop which resolved her difficulty. On returning and entering the drop-in Paul discovered several individuals that had come to the coffee morning at the church where Paul is a member. He sat down with E and she asked Paul if he could get her a bible. She had one previously but someone had taken it. Having arranged to meet someone in Manchester at noon Paul soon had to move on, but was thinking how productive walking into town can be.
