Is Patience the Lesson?

There is a scripture in Exodus 23:30 that says ‘little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you possess the land’

This is often the experience of Next Stage Housing clients: the answer does not all come at once but is a series of steps through which we must pass until we achieve the goal of a permanent settled home.

It may be that a debt needs to be dealt with that is preventing access to a house or putting in jeopardy one already obtained. It may be that carpets are needed to make a house feel like a home, or other items, such as white goods, which can benefit health and money management. Perhaps referrals need to be made or advocacy given when things go wrong. The Next Stage Housing Project seeks, not just to find a home, but to offer all round support to maintain the tenancy for the long term.
